COLUMBUS - MAY 23, 2023 - At approximately 7:35 p.m. this evening, Columbus police officers responded to the Lincoln Park basketball court near Hamilton Center regarding a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, they located multiple people with gunshot wounds. In total, four persons were transported to area hospitals for medical treatment. At this time, we are not releasing any information regarding the identities or the conditions of the victims. ( See photo comments)

Hamilton Center as well as the park and ball fields at Lincoln Park are currently closed as law enforcement officers continue their investigation.
"We would like to thank the civilian city employees who acted quickly to ensure the safety of persons in the park as well as a large group of people inside Hamilton Center after the incident occurred," in a statement released by the Columbus Police Department.
