BLOOMFIELD - DECEMBER 24, 2022 - Firefighters are working a residential fire in the 1600 block of Indiana State Road 157.
Firefighters reporting a working residential fire coming from the garage of the home.
The 911 call came into Greene County dispatch at 5:47 p.m. with firefighters from the Richland Township, Bloomfield, Swiz City and Highland Township Volunteer Fire Departments dispatched to the scene.
At this time there are no reports of injuries, with all the occupants were able to get out of the residence.
Utilities District of Western Indiana was contacted to disconnect the fire. Firefighters from Greene County have been working numerous incidents from emergency medical calls to several structure fires over the last 24 hours.
Subzero temperatures have made fighting fires difficult as fire hoses, and nozzles freeze rapidly.
