SILVERVILLE - MAY 28, 2023 - Firefighters from the Indian Creek and Huron Volunteer Fire Department responded to a vacant house fire Sunday morning.
The 911 call reporting the fire came in just after 1:00 am Sunday morning. The residence was located in the 1100 block of Indiana State Road 158.
Indian Creek and Huron Volunteer fire departments were still on the scene as of 1:43 am working to get the fire under control. All operations were in the defensive mode, as the home was fully involved on their arrival.
At this time the exact cause of the fire is not known. Lawrence County Zephyr was not able to talk to fire officials.
IU Lifeline Ambulance responded to the scene and stand-by while firefighters worked the scene. At this time there were no injuries.
