Firefighters Respond To Structure Fire Saturday Afternoon

MONROE COUNTY - (February 27, 2022) - Monroe Fire Protection District responded to the 3800 block of Dora Rd just after 3:30 pm this afternoon for a structure fire.

Firefighters arrived to find a garage fully engulfed in flames and extending into the adjacent house.

The firefighters made a quick-fire attack stopping the fire from getting further into the home.

The garage was a total loss.

Crews remained on scene for a few hours looking for hot spots and getting smoke out of the house.

No injuries reported.

Homeowner was not home at the time of the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
