Firefighters Respond to Mobile Home Fire in Lawrence Hollow Monday Night

GREENE COUNTY - MARCH 7, 2023 - Center Jackson Fire Territory was dispatched on 3/6/23 at approximately 11:50 pm for a structure fire. The fire was reported in Lawrence Hollow off of State Road 445 in Greene County.

Responding fire units were advised initially that home was abandon but when crews arrived on scene, they were notified that someone may be inside.

Crews from Center- Jackson Fire Territory, Monroe Fire Protection District and Beech Creek Township Fire Department searched the home for occupants.

The search revealed that nobody was inside of the home.

When units arrived, they noticed several fires were burning around the property which included numerous trash piles, a boat and the home.

A neighbor report the fire and also noticed a black truck and a blue car leaving the property after the fire was started.

The drive to the home gave the fire department limited access because of the layout and terrain.

This fire is still under investigation while we try to verify the owner of the property and speak with the subjects at the residence prior to the fire starting.

The Greene County Sheriff's Office and the Greene County Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
