Beech-Creek Township Fire Department and Center-Jackson Fire Territory along with firefighters from Monroe Fire Protection District responded to the fire.

Firefighters arrived on scene and reported a field approximately one acre in size was on fire.

Due to the winds the fire was quickly spreading through the field into a neighbor's property that was very close to heavy machinery and a barn full of hay.

An off-road vehicle from Center-Jackson Fire Territory was utilized out in the field to get to the head of the fire and slow its spread as other firefighters worked to stop the fire from catching the machinery and barn on fire.

Additional personnel from Monroe Fire Protection District from its Kirby Road Station were also requested to respond to the scene for additional manpower and equipment.

Firefighters were able to stop the fire that was threatening the equipment and barn once additional firefighters and equipment arrived.
