BEDFORD - (January 20,2022) - Bedford firefighters responded to the GM Powertrain Thursday morning.

The alarm came in at 10:50 a.m. this morning with a fire located in the Bag House of the plant. Firefighters could not put water on the fire due to the type of materials that were involved. Firefighters could only monitor the fire and let it burn out on its own.
There was no other damage reported according to Bedford Fire Chief John Hughes. Firefighters remained on the scene until 12:20 p.m.
All three stations with 13 firefighters responded to the scene. No injuries were reported.
