BEDFORD - AUGUST 5, 2022 - Firefighters responded to a garage fire in the 100 block of Middle Avenue early Friday morning.
The 911 call reporting the fire came in at 4:53 a.m. this morning.
Firefighters from the Shawswick, Marion Township, Oolitic Volunteer Fire Departments and IU Lifeline Ambulance Service were dispatched to the fire.
Firefighters arrived to find the garage fully involved with a vehicle inside the garage. Firefighters were able to get the fire under control within 30 minutes.
At this time firefighters do not know what caused the fire and remains under investigation.
Shawswick Volunteer Fire Department responded with two engines and tanker, Marion Township responded with Engine and support vehicle. Oolitic Volunteer Fire Department was canceled was cancelled while enroute.
No injuries were reported.
