JACKSON COUNTY - JUNE 10, 2022 - Firefighters responded to a house fire Thursday morning that claimed the life of a Uniontown resident in Jackson County.

The fire happened at 839 South County Road 1100 East which was reported at 4:43 a.m. Thursday morning.
Firefighters from the Crothersville- Veron Township Volunteer Fire Department, Hamilton Township, Jackson, and Redding Township Volunteer Fire Departments, Jackson County Sheriff's Department and Jackson County Emergency Medical Services responded to the blaze.
The fire remains under investigation. The name of the fire victim has not been released pending notification of family members.
