Firefighters Respond to a House Fire Wednesday Morning

MONROE COUNTY - (February 16 ,2022) - Monroe Fire Protection District responded to Vera Drive around 3:45 this morning for a house fire.






Fire crews arrived at the to find fire and smoke coming from the left side of the house.

Firefighters deployed hose lines and made entry into the residence. The occupants were able to exit the home prior to the fire department’s arrival.




Crews found a fire in the basement that was threatening the main level of the home.

Firefighters worked to extinguish the fire to limit its spread. Fire units checked the house for any extension and hidden fires. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was found to be accidental.
