PLAINFIELD- (March 16, 2022) - Fire crews from several fire departments are on the scene of a large fire at Wal-Mart Distribution Center warehouse in Plainfield.

Wal-Mart Distribution Center is located at 9590 Allpoints Parkway in Plainfield.
The fire was reported just after 12:00 p.m. today, fire crews from Avon, Plainfield, Wayne Township and Indiana State Fire Marshal's office responded to the blaze.
Firefighters are reporting walls have collapsed to the building on certain sections.

There have been a few challenges for fire crews which include getting water to the fire, and fire engines having to be repositioned due to the threat of collapsing walls. The water company have been requested to assist in increasing water pressure to the fire.
Several ladder trucks and engines were dispatched to handle the massive fire. Drones have been deployed to assist fire crews in fighting the fire.

The police department have been requested to assist in closing nearby roadways and streets. The Hendricks County 911 Center is experiencing heavy call volume regarding the fire.
The public have been asked to refrain from calling the 911 Center unless they have an emergency. Ashes and other material have been reported traveling several feet from the incident scene.
