PEKIN - DECEMBER 25, 2022 - A active fire alarm was upgraded to a working structure fire at Eastern High School in Pekin. The school is located at 1100 Eastern School Road.
The fire located in the area of the men's locker room according to reports. Firefighters was able to get the fire under control quickly by 1:23 a.m.
Originally, the call was reported as a fire alarm at the high school around 12:50 a.m. Sunday morning. Firefighters from the Pierce-Polk Township Fire Department, and Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Departments have been dispatched to the fire.
