Fire crews return in large wildland fire near Borden Monday morning
BORDEN - NOVEMBER 20, 2023 - Fire crews from several fire departments have returned to a very large wildland fire near Borden early Monday morning.
The Pierce-Polk and Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Departments in Washington County were requested to return at 8:36 am this morning with extra manpower and back packs.

Multiple fire departments spent several hours battling a brush and woods fire that was reported around 2:40 pm Sunday afteernoon.
The Tri- Township received the call reporting the fire in the area of Top of the Rock and Indiana State Road 60 sending fire departments from Clark, Floyd and Washington Counties.
The Indiana Department of Nattrual Resources Fire Division was assisting and monitored the fire throughout Sunday night
The fire crews remain on the scene until 10:15 pm Sunday night.
The cause of the fire has not been determined, no injuries reported.
