Fayetteville Lions Club continues the mission of serving the community and area youth

FAYETTEVILLE - DECEMBER 16, 2023 - The Fayetteville Lions Club remains an active organization in Lawrence County serving it's community and area youth.


The group is celebrating 14 years of servitude with the goal not receiving but giving.



The 58 members work hard throughout the whole year to fullfill the mission of the Lions Club.


The organization is always looking for new members to help continue their sucess.

The oraganization takes on many projects but one of greatest goal is to support youth.


The youth of Lawrence County take part in the baseball and softball during the summer to provide a heathly way for kids to get away from their electronic devices and interact with others.


This interaction helps with their social skills and provides an opprotunity for the community to get together and create lasting friendships.



On Thursday the group celebrated their accomplishments throughout this year with their annual Christmas Party. The group always have a good time together.

A bitter sweet moment for the group is the passing of one of their charter member Larry "Butchh" Houston recently.


The group wanted to mention they are thankful for his contributions to the group and the Fayetteville community.
