Emergency Personnel Responding to Traffic Accident on State Road 45 at Greene/Monroe County Line

STANFORD - JUNE 7, 2023 - Emergency personnel is working a serious traffic accident on Indiana State Road 45 at the Greene/Monroe County line.

A passenger vehicle verses motorcycle accident has been reported at 4:44 pm at near Chapel Road.

Indiana State Road 45 is closed in both directions from Breeden Road to Greene County line.

Both Monroe and Greene County has police, fire and emergency medical services enroute to the scene.

An air ambulance service has been requested to respond to the scene. One patient has been transported from the scene to the Monroe County Airport to meet with a IU Lifeline helicopter to transport the patient to a trauma center.

Motorists are expected to have traffic delays while the accident is being investigated.

Monroe County Sheriff's Department, Monroe Fire Protection District, Center-Jackson Fire Territory, IU Lifeline Ambulance Monroe County, Greene County Sheriff's Department, Greene County Ambulance Service and Lifeline Air Ambulance was dispatched to the scene.
