Emergency personnel respond to traffic accident with vehicle fire on Blankenbaker Road near Pekin

PEKIN - SEPTEMBER 10, 2023 - Emergency personnel respond to a single vehicle accident on Blankenbaker Road near Pekin with a vehicle fire Sunday afternoon.

The accident reported at 2:03 pm sent firefighters from the Pierce - Polk and Franklin Township Fire Departments, Washington County Sheriff's Department, Washington County EMS and AirEVac air ambulance responded to the incident.

One person has been seriously injured in the crash.
