Update: Emergency Officials at Blackwell Horseman's Camp Trying to Locate Lost Person

MONROE COUNTY - JUNE 30, 2022 - Update: The search for a lost individual in the Charles Deam Wilderness Area has been called off for this evening. The search will resume in the morning. No other information is available at this time.

The searches used boats, ATV's and walked the trails to try and locate the subject of the search.

Emergency officials are at Blackwell Horseman's Camp in southern Monroe County trying to locate a lost person.

Monroe Fire Protection District along with Indiana Conservation Officers and other emergency personnel are trying to locate a lost person in the area around Blackwell Horseman's Camp

Several agencies are on the scene at this time, and we will update this story when more information becomes available.
