Mitchell's Indiana hometown kid, Chase Briscoe just made history in the 200th different driver to win a race in the Cup Series.

Briscoe held out to the very end in a three way between drivers, and Chase Briscoe finally making his way to Victory Lane.

Briscoe held off Chase Elliott over a green flag, with Ross Chastain and Tyler Reddick, and Briscoe driving away to take the checkered flag.

The win in the Ruoff Mortage 500 at Phoenix was Briscoe's first cup win in his 40th start. With this win, Briscoe became the 200th different driver to win a NASCAR Cup Series.

Briscoe is the second first- time winner this season, and the third in the last 10 races. He is also the third driver to score his first career win at Phoenix.

Briscoe was seven years ago sleeping on couches, volunteering at race shops, and just about was ready to give up on his childhood dream. But he did not give up the dream and a few sponsors gave Briscoe the opportunity to keep his dream alive. Well, what a difference a few years makes.

Briscoe drives #14, Ford Mustang for Stewart-Haas Racing who at the age of 27 has a very bright future and many more wins up ahead.

Back Home here in Indiana his fan base is growing and the support from Indiana can be heard from television sets all over Lawrence County Indiana saying, " Go Chase Go",

Chase Briscoe's fan base could not be happier with Sunday's win.
