Early Voting to begin October 23, 2023 in Lawrence County

LAWRENCE COUNTY - OCTOBER 11, 2023 - Early voting will start October 23,2023 In the voter registration office. Hours will be 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

This year's election is but a yawn as City of Bedford has only one contested city council race.

The City of Mitchell has a three contested races which include Mayor al race and two city council seats.

Bedford City Council District 5

• Republican - Kathy Blackburn

• Democrat - Don George

City of Mitchell Mayor

Republican - Don Caudell

Democrat - Eugene " Pud" Terrell

City of Mitchell Council District 2

Independent - James Erdle

Independent - Chris Carlisle

City of Mitchell City Council District 3

Republican - Dan Terrell

Democrat- Joey Slone

All the town of Oolitic races are uncontested however the town council chose to continue to remain on the ballot. All council seats are At-Large seats.
