Duke Science Festival - A Night of Fun for Students at Lincoln Elementary School

BEDFORD - (April 20, 2022) - The Duke Energy Science Night was a fun, and adventurous way to learn about science. The event was held Tuesday night, at Lincoln Elementary School.

Duke Energy provided the kits to Lincoln Elementary School. Lincoln Elementary School opened up the festival to everyone.

The Science Night allows students to experience the fun of science through STEM. There was a total of ten stations the students completed.

These include:

  • Build A Bubble

  • Galilean Cannon

  • Invisible Ink

  • Light It Up

  • Magnetic Painting

  • Paper Flying Machines

  • Pinwheel Power

  • Stomp Rockets

  • Straw flutes

  • Zip Lines

" We had a good turnout; I want to think Mrs. Hooten for organizing this. I want thank Duke Energy for providing the material. This event is to promote science, a good evening for families," said Lincoln Principal Brad Webb.

Students seemed to have a good time with the various stations and learning the science behind each of the NC Science Festival Kits.
