Detective Andrea Barnett Lawrence County Sheriff's Department Officer of the Year

LAWRENCE COUNTY - MARCH 16, 2023 - Detective Andrea Barnett was honored as the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department 2022 Officer of the Year yesterday at the Bedford Noon Lions Club Meeting.

"Det. Barnett is a huge asset to our agency and this community. Her demeanor, integrity, positive personality, strong work ethic, and quality work products are demonstrated every day. She gives 100% to all investigations, always going above and beyond, no matter how big or small the case may be. In addition to her daily outstanding work, she was also the co-lead investigator on a homicide investigation and arrest, and she has assumed the evidence room manager role," said Sheriff Greg Day.

"Well done Det. Barnett, we are proud of all your accomplishments. Thank you for what you do," added Day.
