Monroe Fire units arrived to a few acres on fire burning the tall dried out grass. As firefighters were getting close to containing the fire the wind kept picking up making the flames grow spreading the fire faster.

Indiana DNR Fire crews arrived with two 6x6 UTVs which were able to get out in the muddy field and directly attack the head of the fire.
