WASHINGTON - (February 19, 2022) -On February 18, 2022, Officers with the Washington Police Department, DEA Task Force, Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, and Indiana State Police were conducting an investigation in the area of Maxwell Ave.

During that time, they conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Jose Guerrero Alcantara. Jose was found to be in possession of a large amount of Methamphetamine and was arrested on Dealing Methamphetamine charges.

A short time later, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle occupied by Jorge Gonzales Ramos, Noelia Aviles Corado, and others. With assistance from WPD K9 Drago, Methamphetamine and a large amount of U.S. Currency was seized. Jorge and Noelia were arrested on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine.
With the assistance of WPD’s ERT, Officers then served a Narcotics Search Warrant at a residence on Maxwell Ave. Officers reported locating additional Methamphetamine and a large amount of U.S. Currency.

In total for the day, Officers seized approximately 29 grams of Methamphetamine and more than $10,000 in cash.
