David Holmes Steps Down After 13 Years Lawrence County Highway

BEDFORD - (January 5, 2022) - Lawrence County Highway Superintendent David Holmes has announced his last day will be January 28, 2022. The announcement came during the Lawrence County Commissioners meeting on Tuesday morning. Holmes has worked in the Lawrence County Highway Department for a total of 13 years. Applications are now being accepted for the next highway superintendent.

CLR was awarded the contract for repairs of the East Oolitic Bridge in the amount of $592,181

• Rodney Fish was elected by to serve another term as president for Lawrence County Commissioners in 2022

• CLR was awarded the bid of $592,181 to complete repair work on Bridge 138 on East Oolitic Road. A Community Crossing Grant will help with the project.

• Southern Indiana Appraisals was awarded a bid for re-assessments with the contract at $796,000

• The plat for Stonehedge Village was approved

• Approved landscaping contract with Spice Valley Landscape
