D & M Tool Approximate $ 3 Million Project brings jobs and tax revenue to Lawrence County

BEDFORD - JULY 27, 2023 - D&M Tool $3 Million Tooling Project has been a bright spot for Northern Lawrence County economy.

D&M Tool Company was granted two tax abatements of $1,116,560 in personal property for the next ten years and Real Estate abatement for 3,449,660 in assessed value.

D & M Tool Corporation was founded in 1970 specializing in special dies and tools.

The company located on Washboard Road in Marshall Township has served as an economic boost to the Lawrence County Economy.

The tools purchased by the company was approximately $1 Million for delivery and installation of two machines for the company. The machines expected to last over 20 years with the company making sure the equipment is well maintained expanding life of the machines.

The company has 27 employees with a payroll of $1.3 Million making sure their employees are well compensated for their work.

Lawrence County Redevelopment Commission had a TIF district around the plant which was discontinued last year by the commission. The Lawrence County RDC used the revenues from the TIF district to fund the Avoca/Marshall Township Recreation Park and Marshall Township Volunteer Fire/EMS which was some of the local impact the company was able to return tax revenues to the local community and Marshall Township.

D & M President Tim Deckard is a member of the Lawrence County Redevelopment Commission.
