Community Supports Lions Club Pancake Breakfast with Large Turnout

BEDFORD - OCTOBER 3, 2022 - The community came together in full force to help the Bedford Lions Club with their annual Pancake breakfast held twice each year. The fall fundraiser was held Saturday.



This year's, fundraiser had a great turnout with the weather cooperating to bring out people to support many of the projects the group helps on a local, national and worldwide level.



The Bedford Lions Club has helped many local families, causes and supporting them during time of need.





Since 1917, Lions Clubs offer people the opportunity to give something back to their communities such as building ramps and bring sight to the blind throughout the world.



There is approximately 1.4 million members who work to impact the community they live and work in.



The Global causes include:

  • Reduce the prevalence of diabetes and improve quality of life for those who are diagnosed

  • Vision - preventing avoidable blindness and improve the quality of life for people who are blind and visually impaired.

  • Hunger, serving to ensure all community members have access to nutritious foods

  • Environment - serving to sustainable protect and restore the environment to improve the well-being of all communities

  • Childhood Cancer - providing support for the needs of children and families affected by childhood cancer through impactful service activities.


Many other volunteers and organizations help with the fundraiser.
