Coming Friday - Lawrence County Sheriff's Candidates Respond to Subscribers Questions

LAWRENCE COUNTY - (March 17,2022) - Election coverage begins on the local races for Lawrence County Sheriff candidates on Friday.


Republican Lawrence County Sheriff candidates Greg Day and Gregg Taylor have responded to questions submitted by subscribers to the Lawrence County Zephyr.

The Lawrence County Zephyr will not endorse any political candidates in this year's primary election.


Sgt. Greg Day, Indiana State Police is seeking the Republican nomination for Lawrence County Sheriff


Libertarian candidate Darin Kinser have already won his nomination to face off with the winner of the Republican candidate. There is still time for the Democrat or Independent candidate to file to run in the November General election.

A Independent candidate must collect 360 signatures to run in November General Election and the Democrat party can select a person to run as their party nomination in November.

Questions have been submitted to both Lawrence County Commissioner candidates Incumbent and President Lawrence County Commissioner Rodney Fish ;who is being challenged by Lawrence County Council President Scott Smith. The deadline for their submissions is today.
