This year, the group was invited back on Friday, Monroe County residents listening to country music. The group played some of the country music radio favorite tunes from singers from Alan Jackson to Cody's own songs like " Welcome Home" written about first child being born.

The festival gives the community a time to meet and talk with one another. The area was filled with several food, and craft vendors.

Residents always have to try the Strawberry Shortcake, being sold by the Lion's Club, and the fish fry held Friday night was well attended filling the void of a large appetite.

The annual parade was held just in time before a thunderstorm rolled in bringing some excitement for attendees.

There was a fun time had by all and the community is ready for next year's event.
