Christmas Shoppers Make Their Way Towards Downtown Bedford on Black Friday

BEDFORD - (November 26, 2021) - The Christmas season has begun and the shoppers made their way to downtown Bedford to add to the shopping experience.


On the opening of Black Friday for most big box stores, Friday proved to be a day wonderful day for the local business owners such as the Stone Cottage located at 1005 15th Street in Bedford.



The Stone Cottage a family owned and operated business of four family members, the downtown location has improved their business.


Lori Rynders, Teresa Rynders, Dona Boening and Penny May have partnered in the business who have different tastes and buy different things and repurpose them. According to Lori Rynders who talked to the Lawrence County Zephyr Friday afternoon.


The store is open Thursday - Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. through the Christmas holiday. The stores normal operating hours on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.



Shoppers enjoyed looking through all the latest Christmas themed merchandise and a whole store for shoppers to take the time and browse.


Stone Cottage have been located on the Bedford Square for the last three years, with improved traffic flow and parking to aid the business and customers accessing the shop.


" We have managed to get through the COVID-19 pandemic without any government assistance," said Lori Ryders.



" We love being down on the square, we have been well supported by the community with several loyal customers,"


Local business owners are very important to the local economy in Lawrence County. The Lawrence County Zephyr encourages holiday shoppers to give these small businesses your money as you look for the latest gifts and purchases this holiday season.
