LOOGOOTEE - MAY 17, 2022 - Carters 5K is a race in loving memory of Carter Lee Kerns, son of Alyssa and Ed Kerns.
Carter died in a tragic accident the day before his first birthday.
Determined to bring good from tragedy, his parents founded the Carter Lee Kerns Memorial Fund, a permanent endowment fund established by the Martin County Community Foundation.
Annual payouts from this fund will go to support non-profit organizations that work to enhance the lives of children and families in Martin County.
All race proceeds will go to the Carter Lee Kerns Memorial Fund held and administered by the Community Foundation Partnership Inc. on behalf of the Martin County Community Foundation. http://www.facebook.com/mccommunityfoundation

Entry fees:
Ages 16 and up: $25 (will receive a t-shirt)
Age <15: $15 (will receive a t-shirt)
Age < 15: No shirt option $0 ( with a participating adult, no t-shirt)
The event takes place at the West Boggs Park on U.S. 231 approximately 3 Miles North of Loogootee. The $6 per vehicle fee is waived for the day.
