Brown County Home Destroyed by Fire Saturday Morning

BROWN COUNTY - (March 26, 2022) - A Brown County home was destroyed by fire, Saturday morning.

The home was located at 7065 Christiansburg Road in eastern Brown County.


Two 911 calls came into Brown County emergency dispatch center at 12:26 a.m. Saturday morning from neighbors seeing the fire from their homes.


Firefighters from Southern Brown Fire, Hamblin and Nashville Volunteer Fire Departments in Brown Count, and Southwest Fire Department from Bartholomew County responded to the fire.

Upon arrival the home was already heavily involved in fire. Several gallons of water were used to get the fire under control. Firefighters were on the scene most of the morning.


At this time, it is not known what caused the fire. IU Lifeline Ambulance Brown County responded to stand-by at the scene while firefighters fought the blaze. No injuries were reported.
