Boat Lands on U.S. 50 West - Closes Highway for Over Five Hours
BRYANTSVILLE - ( April 13, 2022) - A cable came loose causing a boat to come off a trailer and landing on its side. The incident happened at 8:17 p.m. on Tuesday night forcing U.S. 50 west near truck lane hill to be closed for over five hours.

A boat was being transported from Monteagle Tennessee to Four Winds Marina on Lake Monroe.

(Two wreckers from Jackson's Heavy Haul from Springville uprighted the boat and placed it on another trailer to haul the boat to Four Winds Marina in Monroe County)
The trailer suffered minor damage.
Jacksons Heavy Haul used two wreckers to upright the boat. The boat then was loaded on a trailer provided by Corey Mikels of Mikels Signs.

The Indiana State Police investigated the accident. No one was injured in the accident.

Members of the Huron Volunteer Fire Department and Seals Ambulance Service responded to the scene. Firefighters from the Huron Volunteer Fire Department did not clear the incident until 1:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
