BOARD OF WORKS TABLES BIDS ON INSTALLATION OF FLOORING AT ENGLEWOOD FIRE STATION
BEDFORD - DECEMBER 20, 2022 - The Bedford Board of Works tabled the bids for the installation of flooring for the Englewood Fire Station on 29th Street.

The Board of Works received three bids which included:
Kirts Renovation - $1,250
McIntyre Brothers - $6,592
MATCON General Contracting - $5,763.50
Due to the wide discrepancy between the bids the recommendation was to table it, and review the bids submitted.
In other business:
Approved the acceptance of service agreements for $3,588 to archive all of the city's social media, as per Indiana Public Access laws. This includes the city police department, parks department, and mayor's office. The agreement can be cancelled at any time.
Approved the White River Humane Society Agreement in the amount of $37,400
Approved the disability of Bedford Police Officer Tim Chenn
Approved the accessible parking sign at 617 W Street, Bedford Mayor Sam Craig has requested Chief Terry Moore look into when these requests are made; the requests are monitored and a tracking system in place to make sure when they are no longer needed the signage is removed.
Approved Bedford Police Chief request to participate in Operation Pull Over. This grant has been used several years. With the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department applying for the grant and Bedford Police Department receiving half of the $25,850 awarded to Lawrence County Sheriff's Department. The department will submit a claim to the Auditors office when completed.
