Bloomfield Firefighters Respond to Residential Fire Saturday Morning

BLOOMFIELD - (January 29, 2022) - A Bloomfield home is on fire in the 200 block of Indiana Avenue.

The call reporting the fire came in at 9:50 a.m. with firefighters from Bloomfield, Highland, Richland and Taylor Township Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the scene.

One occupant was transported to the hospital with chest pains by Greene County Ambulance Servic

Cold temps have hampered efforts hovering around 12 degrees and a nearby fire hydrant frozen.

At 11:00 am firefighters are still working to get the fire out with a large amount of fire in the attic of the home.

No word on what caused the fire.
