BEDFORD - (February 22, 2022) - A public hearing was held on the proposed expansion of the Economic Development Plan. This includes the former Aldi's where the future home of the Bedford Police Department. No one spoke for or against the proposal.
The Bedford Redevelopment Commission approved a resolution to adopt the expansion of the development plan. In addition, a second resolution was passed to purchase the building in the amount of $850,000. This came after Plan Director Brandon Woodward advised the commission of the issues located with the property and other environmental concerns.
Both resolutions passed by the Bedford RDC. The city will be able to move on with the project.
