Bedford Plan Commission allows zoning change for Bubba's Pizza new location

BEDFORD - AUGUST 8, 2023 - During the Bedford Plan Commission Meeting Tuesday afternoon Bedford Plan Commission members gave Jennifer King approval for a zoning change on John Williams Blvd for their future location of Bubba's Pizza.

The parcel of land is located in the area of John Williams Blvd near 8th Street the property is zoned I-2 General and will be changed to B-3 Planned Business District.

The approval will now move to the Bedford City Council for their approval.

Bedford Plan Commission members gave the green light for Mark Murphy to subdivide his property located at 2208 35th Street. His request will now head to the Bedford Board of Works for their approval.

Forrest Lake request to rezone his property located at 1323 5th Street from R-3 Medium Density residential District to B-1 Convenience Business was tabled due to Lake failing to show for the hearing. Lake plans on putting a barber shop in the location. The lot was formerly a used car lot across from the IGA store. If the property remained a car lot it would not have to be rezoned because it was grandfathered in.

Brandon Woodward, Bedford Plan Director told the members that Culvers is looking for site locations for their business.

In addition, Woodward told members Little Ceasars Pizza will be locating in the former TCBY location across from Burger King.
