" It is great for our team to be going to the state finals for the fifth time, and we are going to try our best to bring home the win," said Braxton Johnson.

On Saturday morning several well-wishers and supporters greeted the team at the Bedford North Lawrence Fieldhouse, along Indiana State Road 58, Fifth Street and Indiana State Road 37 north as the team headed to the finals.

Under the leadership of Mike Branham, the team has seen huge success over the last five years with the team going to state championship.

" This is amazing, I never dreamed we could do this five times in a row, but here we are. This one of the best bunch of kids I ever coached. The athletes decided at the beginning of the year that they wanted to end up at the state finals and they made it," said Mike Branham.

In looking at what is ahead of the team Branham stated he just wants the team to do their best. " If everyone does their best, that is all I can ask for," added Branham.

"Mike Branam just wants the kids to have fun. " This is a once in a lifetime experience and for some of the teams members a third in a lifetime experience. We want to thank everyone for their support,"

" This feels good to know this team has been there five years in a row. I have been to the state finals for three years. We loose five seniors, so we are hoping more team members come out and send the team to the state another year," said Ethan Robinson.

Ethan mentioned all of the four graduates and wanted to express his appreciation to his other teammates.

The team was thrilled to have a personal escort from the Bedford Fire Department, and Marshall Township Volunteer Fire Department from the BNL Fieldhouse to Indiana State Road 37.

Many fans held signs, painted their vehicles, and parked along the route to show support to a great group of athletes.

The Lawrence County Zephyr has since learned that the team did not win this year's final, however each and every athlete needs applauded for the great ability and sportsmanship they have displayed for the last several years.

On behalf of the Bedford community, job well done.
