Bedford Mayor Sam Craig Delivers 2nd State of the City Address
BEDFORD - MARCH 22, 2023 - Bedford Mayor Sam Craig delivered his second State of the City address Monday night. Mayor Craig will be finishing up his 1st term as Mayor, with him reflecting on the many projects the city has undertaken over the last year.

Those projects spanned over improvements to the parks system, which included Wilson Park Shelter House, plans to add Pickle Ball Courts at Wilson Park, HOOP house at the Garden Park, Renovations to the Englewood Fire Station, Construction of a new police station for the police department, purchase of new body cameras for police officers, renovations to city hall, several stormwater and sewage projects, and paving of over 5.5 miles of roads and streets are just a few of those mentioned Tuesday night.
Bedford has a new Clerk/Treasurer Billie Tumey who left as the Lawrence County Clerk and moved over to city hall.

" It is somewhat different than being the Lawrence County Clerk, but I enjoy the job and learning the position," said Tumey in her new role.
