Bedford Firefighters Respond to House Fire on U Street

BEDFORD - JULY 5, 2022 - Bedford firefighters quickly respond to a house fire over the weekend.



According to Bedford Fire Chief John Hughes the fire was reported at 2:37 a.m. with firefighters from Engine 2 finding the home fully involved on their arrival.


The home was occupied by Stephanie Clark and Tracy Mack family according to a GoFundme page set up by a relative.


Everyone was out of the home waiting on firefighters' arrival. The home did have smoke detectors which was instrumental in alerting the family to the fire. The family's dog also made it out of the home without any injury.


Firefighters were on the scene until about 10:30 a.m. making sure the fire was out and working on hotspots.


The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
