BEDFORD - MARCH 20, 2023 - Bedford Fire Department was called to a house fire shortly after 7:00 am Monday morning in the 1300 block of Q Street.

There are several streets in the area that are closed while firefighters are fighting the fire. These streets include 14th Street from P Street to R Street is closed, as well as Q Street from 15th Street to 13th Street while firefighters have firehoses stretched to hydrants to fight the fire.
Firefighters are keeping the fire from spreading to nearby residence that are close by. At this time the cause of the fire is no known.
At this time there are no reports of injuries.
Bedford Fire Chief John Hughes was at the scene, however unavailable for comment at this time.
All three station are on the scene of the fire, as well as Bedford Police Department, IU Lifeline Ambulance and Bedford Street Department. Bedford Street Department have placed barricades up on several streets to prevent vehicle traffic from entering the area.
