Bedford Firefighter Clayton A. Lumpe Swearing In Ceremony During Board of Works Meeting
BEDFORD - (March 21, 2022) - Bedford Firefighter Clayton Lumpe was sworn in as Bedford Fire Department's newest firefighter.

Lumpe was sworn in by Bedford Mayor Sam Craig who welcomed him to the fire department. Bedford Firefighter, Lumpe was joined by several of his family members including his wife, Jade, and son, Bo.

In addition to the newest firefighter, other personnel changes were made to the fire department's rank following the retirement of Bedford Firefighter Jeff Key, who retired following 34.5 Years of service.
Senior Firefighter Justin Spire promoted to Lieutenant and will be on a one-year probationary period
Firefighter 1st Class Brady Rhoda permanent promotion to Senior Firefighter
Firefighter 3rd Class Joshua Morron to permanent promotion to 2nd Class Firefighter
Firefighter 3rd Class Seth Thomas to Firefighter 2nd Class permanent status
Firefighter 3rd Class Ethan Bohnenkamp to Firefighter 2nd Class permanent status
The permanent status came following the one-year probationary period.
