Bedford City Council Passes Resolution to Expand Economic Redevelopment Area
BEDFORD - (February 9, 2022) - The Bedford City Council in a special meeting Wednesday voted to expand the Economic Development Area to include the former Aldi's building.

The former Aldi's building located at 2308 West 16th Street is the proposed home of the Bedford Police Department.

Located at 1416 James Avenue Bedford Indiana

By passing the resolution, TIF funds can be used to purchase the former Aldis grocery store to be the future home of the Bedford Police Department.

A public hearing will be held on February 22, 2022 before the Bedford City Council Meeting.
The Bedford Redevelopment Commission authorized the use of TIF funds to purchase the building in the amount of $825,000.
