Bedford Board of works approves several promotions for Bedford Fire Department

BEDFORD - OCTOBER 17, 2023 - The Bedford Board of Works approved several promotions for the Bedford Fire Department following the appointment of Luke Pinnick as Fire Chief.

A new position was created within the department with Jason Stigall was approved for Deputy Chief for the department.

The need for the position was realized after the retirement of chief John Hughes leaving the fire department with only Battalion chiefs.

Other promotions:

• Lieutenant Jeremy Nolan - Training Officer

• Lieutenant David Zeeks - Captain

Permanent status:

• Lieutenant Shane Nolan

• Senior Firefighter - Toby J. Tincher

Some transitions may take longer as longer there are some staffing shortages in the department.
