Bedford Board of Works Approves $20,000 for Wilson Park July 4th Fireworks Display

BEDFORD - JUNE 20, 2023 - The Bedford Board of Works approved a total of $20,000 to be paid to Wisely Pyrotechnics for this year's Fourth of July Fireworks display at Wilson Park.

The total amount may be more based on the amount of donations the city receives for this year's display.

The Board of Works approved the payment once the fireworks show has concluded, verses having to wait until the next Board of Works meeting next month.

In addition, the streets that feed into Wilson Park will be closed at 7:00 pm on July Fourth. This will include Dennison Avenue, 22nd and Park Avenue and 19th Street.

The Fourth of July fireworks display at Wilson Park is on its third year, in addition to the fireworks that are held downtown Bedford on this weekend. This weekend's fireworks is held about 10:00 pm during the Limestone Heritage Festival.
