Amplify Nashville Music Festival Saturday will feature local music artists

NASHVILLE - NOVEMBER 30, 2023 - Amplify Nashville regional music festival will bring future stars throughout Central and South-Central Indiana to the big stage on Saturday, Dec. 2 at the Brown County Music Center. This unique showcase of folk, blues, roots, and country music features fan-favorite area musicians. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the show starting at 7:30 p.m.

“Amplify Nashville is a combination of economic-development endeavor to showcase the deep and growing performing talent in this region of the state, along with giving those performers a spot on a bigger stage – all to benefit feeding the hungry in our community while feeding the soul with good music,” said Bob Blass, who helped to spearhead and organize the event.

The Brown County Music Center and its board are providing the venue and staffing.

The inaugural festival will include local and regional talent from a variety of bands on their way to becoming national touring acts, including:

  • Cody Ikerd & The Sidewinders

  • King Bee & The Stingers

  • The Hammer and The Hatchet with IOFD

  • Bleu Django

  • Flick N Rainwater

All of these artists share a passion for giving back to their community, Blass said. Proceeds from Amplify Nashville will benefit Mother’s Cupboard Community Kitchen, a nonprofit food pantry and resource center located in Nashville, and the Brown County Music Association, which supports aspiring musicians in their creative pursuits.

The Brown County Music Center also will feature a value-priced menu with select food and beverage options available for families during the festival.

“We appreciate the generosity of each musician who is performing to further our mission,” said Corey Flick, Amplify Nashville spokesperson. “This is a very community-focused event – a rallying point for all of us to come together.”
