Abandoned Mobile Home Burns on 4th Street in Paoli
PAOLI - NOVEMBER 23, 2022 - A abandoned mobile home was destroyed by fire early Wednesday morning. The call was reported by a neighbor around 4:18 a.m. with Paoli police officer Chris Cook was the first to arrive the mobile home completely involved with fire.
The mobile home located at 218 4th Street in Paoli at the intersection of 4th and Thornton.

Paoli Volunteer Fire Department requested additional manpower and assistance from the French Lick Volunteer Fire Department.

Neighbors told the Lawrence County Zephyr that squatters have been known to live in the mobile previously. The neighbors also, reporting that the squatters being evicted from the residence previously.
Firefighters were still on the scene of the fire as of 6:00 a.m. Paoli Fire Chief Mark Jones was unavailable to provide any additional information as he was still working the fire scene. Jones will be contacting the Lawrence County Zephyr later on Wednesday to provide an update.
At this time there are no reports of injuries.
Paoli Volunteer Fire Department, French Lick Volunteer Fire Department, Paoli Police Department, Orange County Sheriff's Department, IU Lifeline Orange County, and Paoli Power responded to the scene.
