1st Annual Mark Starr Memorial Cutter Classic has BMS Lady Cutters Victorious West Washington

BEDFORD - JANUARY 30, 2023 - The Bedford Middle School Lady Cutters ended up victorious over the West Washington Senators in the 1st Annual Mark Starr Classic held on Saturday.

The Cutters coming out on top with a score of 49-17 Over the Washington Senators.

" The day was incredible, a lot of emotions went through me today as we celebrated the life and legacy of my dear friend, Mark Starr. I love my community so much, and showed out today," said Ed Cobb coach of the BMS Lady Cutters.

" I know Mark's family had to be touched by the turnout. A lot of laughs, some tears, but most importantly, a man we all loved so much will always continue to have in impact on what he loved so much," Cobb concluded.

The Classic was to help fund a scholarship in his name. The amount raised at the event has not yet been released. There was a great turnout for both the boys and girl teams.
