The event was to help the La-Or-Shrine Club which was sponsored by: Hoosier Uplands, Lawrence County Tourism, and Hiram's Hot Rods.

The La- Or Shrine Club sole purpose is to help kids within the local community. There are 22 Hospitals in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

These hospitals were funded by Shriners just like the local members. It was not until 2011 that the hospitals began accepting insurance. The hospitals specialize in various forms of pediatrics and use state of the art facilities to perform miracles every day.
