12-Year Old Driver Injured in Traffic accident on Williams Road Sunday morning

BEDFORD - JUNE 27, 2023 - A twelve-year-old who was driving a vehicle suffered a head injury following a traffic accident Sunday morning. This after the teen driver struck a tree.

The accident happened in the 2400 block of Williams Road at 1:00 am

The driver said he wanted to go for a ride and was driving east towards Williams Road and was turning around and headed back for home. He lost control of his vehicle and slid off the side of the roadway.

The teen was transported by IU Lifeline Ambulance Service to IU Health Hospital Bedford.

Lawrence County Sheriff's Department, Indian Creek Township Volunteer Fire Department, Shawswick Volunteer Fire Department, IU Lifeline Ambulance and Mikels Towing responded to the accident.
