Organizers say this is probably a record turnout for this year's 5K.

The park does not take in any tax money to support the upkeep of the park.
Therefore, the Springville Community Park Board relies on donations and financial contributions to for upkeep of the park.
The upkeep includes mowing the grass and to be able to make repairs/upgrades as the need comes about. There are currently some projects that need attention at the park to do some touch up work at the bridge, and other routine maintenance.
" This event today, will help with taking care of the ongoing needs of the park," said Mark Baker. " We appreciate everyone coming out for these years, event,"
There is a shelter house in the park that can be reserved for family events, horseshoe pits, small playground equipment, and a concrete circle walking path that residents use to walk, throughout the day.
The group looks forward to putting on the event every year.
Anyone wanting to contribute to the Springville Community Park can mail donations to Post Office Box 26 or Post Office Box 44 Springville, Indiana 47462.
